My name is Sivarama Rao Vadreuv, and I am a double‑lung transplant survivor. On June 2, 2026, I received the life‑saving gift of a bilateral lung transplant at Cedars‑Sinai Medical Center after battling chronic respiratory failure, Combined Pulmonary Fibrosis and Emphysema (CPFE), and severe pulmonary hypertension.

This transplant saved my life — but the journey ahead is long, complex, and financially overwhelming. I require lifelong immunosuppressive medications, frequent follow‑up visits to Cedars‑Sinai, ongoing lab work, and continuous monitoring to prevent rejection. My medical condition has taken away my ability to remain financially independent and stable.. Without substantial external assistance, the financial strain I face is impossible to overcome. The gap between what my medical condition requires and what I am able to afford poses a direct and immediate threat to my ability to survive.

I support a household of five: my wife, our daughter (13), our son (11), my 85‑year‑old mother, and myself. I am the sole wage earner for the family. We live modestly, without any pursuit of luxury or unnecessary expenses. My daughter, who will soon begin high school, is focused on her academic goals and works hard to excel. My son is an active participant in a local soccer club, playing left forward and performing well in his tournaments. These activities are important to their development and wellbeing, and I strive to provide them with stability despite significant financial pressures
