Tate Galante
Hingham, MA
Meet Tate.
He just turned 2, and if you’ve been lucky enough to meet him, you know his captivating smile. If you haven’t, here’s what else you should know: he can’t get enough books! He LOVES them, and he’s getting quite good at turning the pages for you.
Tate was born with Lesch-Nyhan syndrome, a rare and severe genetic condition that affects his movement, muscle control, and development. He’s fed through a feeding tube, takes 17 medications given every two hours, day and night, and works with nearly a dozen specialized therapies. His care goes far beyond what a typical toddler needs. There’s no cure yet, so our focus is simple: giving Tate the best life possible.
MassHealth has been essential, and we’re grateful for it. Even so, what Tate needs goes beyond what insurance fully covers. Extra nursing hours, specialized therapies, adaptive equipment, and home modifications often fall to families to manage on their own.
That’s where you come in. We created this campaign with Help Hope Live so the people who love Tate can help in a way that truly makes a difference. Help Hope Live holds and administers every dollar you give and pays verified medical and related expenses directly, which protects the benefits Tate relies on. Help Hope Live is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so your gift is tax-deductible. It’s been doing this work since 1983 and holds Charity Navigator’s top 4-star rating.
Your gift helps provide:
– Consistent nursing support
– Therapies that help him grow, get stronger, and stay safer
– Equipment and home changes so he can live comfortably with his family
Thank you for being part of #TeamTate. Every gift, of any size, brings real help to our little boy with the big smile as he keeps growing, learning, and thriving.
