Timothy Macon

My name is Timothy Macon, and I am reaching out with a humble heart to ask for your help. I have been on this journey with sarcoidosis for about eight years, and it has changed my life in ways I never imagined.

At first, the different medicines I was given helped improve my lung function. But as time went on, the medicines stopped working the way they once did. We had to keep changing treatments and trying new medications. For a little while, something would help, but eventually my body would stop responding.

Then one day, while I was receiving an infusion, my lung collapsed. Even after my medications were changed and my doctors continued working to find something that would help, I kept getting worse. Eventually, I reached the point where I need a lung transplant.

I am a people person. I love God, I love my family, and I try every day to be a better person. One of the hardest parts of this journey is struggling to breathe while doing everyday things that many people take for granted, like walking or participating in regular activities.

My greatest hope is to receive a new set of lungs so I can breathe normally again and have the opportunity to enjoy life in a way I have not been able to for so long. I want to be able to do everyday activities without constantly fighting for my breath. Most of all, I want to spend more time making memories with my grandkids.

My doctors are asking for help to raise $11,000 to support my lung transplant journey. I know that times are difficult for many people, and I do not take anyone’s help for granted. If you are able to donate, no matter the amount, it would mean more to me and my family than I can put into words.
