In March 2023, my life changed when I learned I was experiencing end-stage liver failure. After countless hospital stays, treatments, and testing throughout 2023 and 2024, I was finally placed on the liver transplant waiting list in April 2024. I am still waiting for my second chance at life.

My daughter, Skylar, is my greatest motivation. She is a senior in high school, and  I could not be more proud of her. She has shown incredible strength and compassion while helping me through this journey. My greatest hope is to stay as healthy as possible so I can be here to watch her graduate, go to college, and build the future she deserves. 

Because I am unable to work due to my health we are facing a tremendous financial burden. We are raising funds to help with medical expenses, household bills, transportation, and unexpected costs while I wait for my transplant.

I am incredibly grateful for my family and friends, especially those here in Dallas who have supported me and Skylar with prayers, kindness, and countless acts of love. I am especially thankful to my dear friend Rachel, who baptized me in April 2024—a moment that strengthened my faith and continues to give me hope.

I don’t know when my transplant will come, but I am still here, still fighting, and still hopeful.
