Veteran PTSD Service Dog Compassion Fund

A trained service dog can change the course of a veteran’s life—but the cost of breeding, raising, training, and placing a properly prepared service dog can put that resource far out of reach.

The Veteran PTSD Service Dog Compassion Fund was created to help bridge that gap.

Through a collaborative effort between Aegis K9 Services and Dirt Road K9, we are raising funds to support the development and placement of professionally trained service dogs with disabled veterans living with PTSD and other service-connected challenges.

Our goal is not simply to provide a dog. Each placement represents months of careful selection, training, veterinary care, equipment, handler education, and continued support designed to build a successful working partnership between a veteran and their service dog.

Our initial fundraising goal is $120,000, allowing us to begin supporting multiple veteran/service-dog teams while building a sustainable path for future placements.

Donations may help cover expenses including:

• Service dog selection and development

• Professional training and evaluation

• Veterinary care and preventative health needs

• Training equipment and service-dog gear

• Veteran handler training and placement preparation

• Continued support after placement

Every contribution moves a veteran closer to receiving a highly trained partner who can provide greater independence, stability, confidence, and support in everyday life.
