Zeb’s Story — Hooked on Hope

“This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil,  where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us….” Hebrews 6:19-20a

Zeb is a devoted husband to Ashley, proud dad to Emily, and a hardworking, easygoing guy who has spent years serving others as a store manager at Tractor Supply. If you know Zeb, you know he loves fishing, the outdoors, his family, and almost always has a smile on his face.

This year has brought both incredible joy and an unimaginable challenge. Zeb came to know Christ and was baptized, publicly declaring his faith. Not long after, he was diagnosed with ALS—a life-changing diagnosis that has altered the road ahead for Zeb and his family.

As Zeb steps away from work and focuses on his health and time with those he loves, the financial impact of ALS continues to grow. And the costs of this disease go far beyond medical bills. Families living with ALS can face expenses for wheelchair ramps and home modifications, mobility and communication equipment, accessible transportation, travel and hotel stays for specialty care, meals while traveling, and additional caregiving or respite care. There can also be lost income when family members need to take time away from work to provide care.

Many of these are expenses most of us would never think about until faced with a disease like ALS, but together they can create an enormous financial burden.

Our hope is to surround Zeb, Ashley, and Emily with love and support so they can spend less time worrying about the financial demands of this journey and more time making memories together.
