Life After the Gift of Motion for 8-Year-Old Angelo Murphy

On June 15, the Philadelphia Flyers Alumni Association and the nonprofit Help Hope Live gifted a customized adaptive bike to 8-year-old Angelo Murphy, who is living with multiple complex medical diagnoses. While the bike is a life-changing gift for Angelo, his family has had to continue to fundraise with the nonprofit for critical medical costs insurance doesn’t cover.

$1,200+ Raised to Help Man Paralyzed by Gun Violence: Michael Walthall

This year, 37-year-old Michael Walthall recognizes 10 years since the shocking act of violence that forever changed his life. Today, he is approaching life with paralysis with a big dose of hope and purpose. To help fuel that journey, his community has raised over $1,200 with the nonprofit Help Hope Live, assisting with paralysis-related costs that insurance does not fully cover.

47-year-old Ronaldo Hinton has been battling liver disease and is now in need of a liver transplant. To make it possible, his medical team has advised him to raise $9,000. The community can help through a fundraising campaign in Ronaldo’s honor with the trusted national nonprofit Help Hope Live.

Callie was struck by a speeding car in Burlington in September 2025 and has been living with paralysis ever since. The family will not receive restitution for the injury, so instead, the community is rallying to provide support through the national nonprofit Help Hope Live.

On Saturday, July 11, gather at Carlisle County Elementary Cafeteria to enjoy dinner and fun for a great cause. Funds raised will benefit the nonprofit Help Hope Live in honor of Kaylie Hammond, a 10-year-old student, to help her family cover the cost of a critical wheelchair accessible van.

Bowl for a Cause to Help Local Woman with Paralysis: Bariyah Gilmer

On Friday, July 17, bowl for a cause at a Bowling Spirit Night fundraiser at Stars and Strikes in Stone Mountain. Funds raised benefit the nonprofit Help Hope Live in honor of Bariyah Gilmer, an Ellenwood 32-year-old who needs a wheelchair accessible vehicle to keep rolling to independence.
