Tia is a 39 year old mother of two active teenagers ages 15 and 16. She loves spending quality time with her family & friends and is involved in many community organizations and activities such as both the Boy Scouts and Girl scouts. She loves the outdoors. Tia also loves to spend her free time traveling, camping, going to amusement parks, and visiting museums of many types.
In 2011, Tia began developing health issues. She was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. She had been managing well with medication up until October 2013 when she found herself in-and-out of the hospital almost every month for shortness of breath and fluid overload in her lungs. In April of 2018, Tia took a turn for the worse where now she was being hospitalized more often with longer stays sometimes weeks at a time. On July 28th 2018 she went to the ER because she could not breathe because of the amount of fluid on her lungs and the way her heart was pumping. Tia had to be admitted into 4 different hospitals in the span of 2 weeks. At the 3rd hospital they said the best course of action would be for an Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) to be implanted. She was then transferred to The 4th hospital where she had to have immediate surgery. At this point the LVAD is working well, but the best course of action to get her back to the active life she had before would be for heart transplant.

Back on June 24th of 2022 my Defibrillator fired off on me 5 times. Once at the hospital I was told by one of the doctors that If it wasn't for me having this pump I would be dead, Because My heart went into Ventricular fibrillation Which is defined by:
A life-threatening heart rhythm that results in a rapid, inadequate heartbeat.
Ventricular fibrillation (VF) is a rapid, life-threatening heart rhythm starting in the bottom chambers of the heart. It can be triggered by a heart attack.
So as of noon today I am actively listed on the heart transplant registry!!!!
Back in June I found out that I have many siblings on my father's side and have started meeting them. And I can't wait to be able to do more with them.
Hey fam I just got some wonderful info that I wanted to share with all of you all.
I was just informed that I have been approved to be put on the heart transplant list!!!!!
However I won't be listed until this covad virus has died down.
I need your prayers now more than ever. Prayers that this virus will be done and over soon.
