Fundraiser on Feb. 8 at Hill Top Inn in Elmira
ELMIRA, N.Y.—This Saturday, February 8 from 5 to 9 p.m., enjoy a fundraiser in honor of Jason Wheeler, head chef at Hill Top Inn and father of two who is fundraising for a life-saving kidney transplant. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be served with a cash bar available.

What: Fundraiser in honor of Jason Wheeler with food, non-alcoholic drinks, and a cash bar.
Cause: Help Jason, head chef at Hill Top Inn, fundraise for a kidney transplant through the national nonprofit Help Hope Live.
Cost: $25 single admission.

Jason’s Story
Jason has been living with chronic kidney disease for the past five years. The head chef at Hill Top Inn—and loving husband to Sara and father to Ethan, 16, and Evelyn, 15—is fundraising to ensure he can cover the immense out-of-pocket costs associated with the gift of new life.
“I work long but incredibly rewarding hours,” he shared. “I often wake up still in my work clothes.” In his downtime, Jason loves to golf and teach his kids to golf.
Jason will become the fourth kidney transplant recipient in two generations. He will need to begin dialysis treatments if he does not receive a kidney soon.
“I am doing my best to remain positive,” he said. “The outpouring of emotional support that I have received has been nothing short of overwhelming.”
Fundraising will help Jason cover a six-week stay near his transplant hospital in Rochester and anti-rejection medication after the transplant, which he will need to continue to take for the rest of his life.
Funds raised will also help cover any medical costs and related expenses a living kidney donor might incur if a donor steps forward to save his life.
