CHULA VISTA, Ca.—On Sunday, October 27, enjoy a Toddler Fall Festival with Trunk or Treat and more to celebrate the season and support a good cause. Funds raised will benefit the nonprofit Help Hope Live in honor of Alexandria Cebreros, a Chula Vista mom diagnosed with cancer. Funds raised will help families like Alexandria’s facing overwhelming medical and related expenses.
Toddler Fall Festival Fundraiser Details
When: Sunday, October 27 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Escaya Park at 1075 Camino Prado, Chula Vista, CA 91913
What: Enjoy a festive afternoon with costumes, candy-alternative Trunk or Treat, play zones, arts and crafts, a photobooth, push cars, vendors and food trucks, and other Halloween activities for toddlers and families.

Cause: All funds raised will go to the nonprofit Help Hope Live through the Southwest Catastrophic Illness Fund. Funds raised will offset medical expenses and related costs for patients, including Alexandria Cebreros, a 37-year-old Chula Vista mom of 1-year-old Ezra who was diagnosed with a rare, high-risk form of cancer this year.
Cost: FREE to attend. $15 suggested donation per activity wristband. Includes one raffle ticket. Add-ons include pan dulce snack for $5 and raffle tickets for $5.

Alexandria’s Story
At 37 years old, Alexandria Cebreros of Chula Vista was diagnosed with a rare and high-risk form of cancer this year. Since the diagnosis, the devoted mom to 1-year-old Ezra has been fighting the battle of her life with hope for the future.
“My world has turned upside down,” explained Alexandria. “This past year has been a whirlwind of appointments, major surgery, complications, hospital stays—you name it.”
Alexandria and her husband had dreamed of expanding their family. Now, all their plans are on hold as they face the emotional, physical, and financial toll of cancer treatment.
“Even with insurance, we are faced with high co-pays and deductibles,” explained Alexandria. “There are several out-of-network doctors and specialists who have been recommended to us, but they are not covered by our insurance. This means even more expenses we cannot afford alone.”
Without help, finances will prevent Alexandria from getting the care she needs: “It’s heartbreaking to realize that financial barriers limit access to the care that could improve outcomes and give me more time with my family. Ezra deserves a healthy mama, and I deserve the chance to see him grow up.”
