“In and out of the hospital in the months leading up to the beginning of May, Szmutko said she hoped each time the next visit would be for transplant surgery. This final time, she got her wish.”
Holly Szmutko received the call that would change her life in early May. Today, she is recovering from a double lung transplant and sharing her gratitude for the community support she has received along the way.
She looks forward to continuing her advocacy work with the Northwest Indiana PH PHriends Support Group…this time, without a portable ventilator.
