I have undergone extensive testing at the University of Michigan Transplant Center and fortunately doctors feel I am a good candidate for a liver transplant. I am now on the waiting list until a good match is found. However, even with insurance, I am facing very high expenses out-of-pocket including the astronomical cost of post-transplant anti-rejection medications I’ll need to take for the rest of my life, lab fees, co-pays and more.
To help with this financial burden of my uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in my honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law, are held by Help Hope Live in the South-Atlantic Liver Transplant Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider a contribution.
For credit card contributions, please click the yellow GIVE button.
Thank you for your support and generosity. Keep an eye on this Help Hope Live campaign page because we will be planning fundraising events soon and posting updates regularly.
Gratefully,
Douglas Woods
