Rachel has end stage kidney failure and is in great need of a kidney transplant. I am urgently asking everyone to please help me raise the funds for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to help me with critical expenses including lodging, travel, food, and anti-rejection medication not covered by her insurance.
Rachel was born with polycystic kidney disease as well as cerebral palsy, autism, language disorder, and intellectual disabilities. I found out about Rachel’s kidney failure when she was 15. Rachel is now 22 and has been on dialysis for over 2 years. Despite all Rachel’s many tribulations, she still remains happy and full of love.
Rachel has medicaid. However, not everything needed is covered. I, Amy(her mother), work as a cashier at our local gas station. I will be off work for 3 months while Rachel recovers from her transplant. Her transplant team has set a goal of $6500 before the transplant in order to help us with these expenses. Rachel’s anti-rejection medication cost will be around or even more than $2500 a month.
For anyone who would like to help make this possible, donations can be made out to Help Hope Live. These donations will tremendously help ease the financial burden of Rachel’s transplant, my time off work for her recovery, and anti-rejection medication. With your help, Rachel can live a long and healthy life.
