Danny has been diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver along with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and other complications associated with this disease. His only hope for a healthy life is a liver transplant and he is currently on the active transplant waiting list.
Danny grew up in Kenduskeag, ME and graduated from Central High School in Corinth, ME. He worked as a roofer for 37 years. Unfortunately, due to his medical condition, Danny is no longer able to work nor enjoy his hobbies of hunting and fishing. His two children and his family are committed to seeing him through this tough time so that he can someday get back to all of the activities he loves.
Transplants can save lives but are financially draining. Even with insurance, Danny will have many uninsured transplant-related expenses such as: co-pays and deductibles, doctor visits, travel to and from Boston and the costly anti-rejection medications that he will need to take for the rest of this life.
To help offset such expenses, a fundraising campaign in Danny’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Northeast Liver Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. If you would like to make a contribution please click the DONATE NOW button.
Thank you so much from our family to yours for all of your support and prayers. Please continue to visit this page for updates on Danny’s progress.
Sincerely,
The Gallant Family
