Following the transplant both Cassie and her husband Zack will temporarily be living in Ann Arbor for a minimum required 100 days staying 2.5 hours away from their home in Marcellus, Michigan. Their sons Brandon and Travis will be assisting them in anyway that they can during and after this time.
The Pendell family is seeking out the aid of their family, friends, and the members of their loving community to help them through this rough time.
Cassie has chosen to fundraise with HelpHOPELive in part because HelpHOPELive assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for donors. Donors can be sure that funds donated will be used only to pay or reimburse medically-related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Donate Now button.
For more information, please contact HelpHOPELive at 800.642.8399. Or their son Travis or Cassie on Facebook.
Thank you for your support!
Memorial Day weekend mom was re-admitted in Ann Arbor. After running tests, the doctors determined that she was going to need to have her gall bladder removed. She hass been home now for a week and is now back on track to continue her recovery.
She is doing well and is glad to be home.

I had my last bone marrow biopsy on 5/2/2016. On 5/9/2016, I found out my results, no leukemia cells were found. I am still waiting on further results from that biopsy, which I hope to receive at tomorrows appointment in Ann Arbor. Thank you all for your support. Cassie Pendell
We have officially reached Day 50! 50 more then we get what we pray will be the final tests of this whole ordeal!
Mom is getting out of UofM soon. So far so good.
Day Zero has come and passed. We now find ourselves one day after the start of the transfusion of the Stem Cells.
So far mom is doing well. We are not certain when we will know the results; but at this point we are just happy to finally have this part of treatment finally start.
On the 19th of January, Mom was admitted and have begun her "conditioning" (chemo among other treatments) for her transplant. The current plan is that the transplant will be on or around the 25th.
Mom is getting closer to admission for the transplant. We are hoping that it will be sometime next week.

Mom had her ultra sound. And everything was all clear.
At this point I believe we are still waiting to hear of the new transplant date.

Mom was able to be home for Christmas and is feeling fine. We are still waiting to understand what it was that caused the Pancreatitis as the issue for the time being has resolved itself. At some point in the new future, they plan to do a specialized ultra sound to look for a stone that may have been the cause of the Pancreatitis.
Once that is resolved, we will be given a new date for the transplant.
-------------
Also for those who are interested, we were able to post a picture of mom and her sister Julie.

Mom will be in Borgess until at least Monday. They think she may have a gull stone that is causing the pancreatitis, but they want to be able to do another xray to make sure where it is located and how best to get it out.
Mom seems more cooped up than sick. She has very little pain from the pancreatitis right now. She can't wait to go back home again and for a new day zero to selected for the transplant.

A shift in Day Zero:
The Past few years have been anything but predictable. The transplant was slated for Dec 22nd/23rd; however the date is now pushed back and our countdown is reset.
This Tuesday(Dec-15) mom was admitted to Borgess Medical Center with Pancreatitis. We are still awaiting notification as to the cause.
For now, the Transplant is being delayed until mom's current condition can be resolved.
Much Love,
Travis
