Hi, my name is April Bethune. In April of 2006, a few weeks before my 27th birthday, I was in a car accident while on my way to work. I was immediately airlifted to Gwinnett Medical. I had suffered a spinal cord injury at my C6 and C7 vertebrae and am now paralyzed from my chest down. I am currently trying to find a way to purchase a physical therapy machine called a NuStep
To help offset such expenses, a fundraising campaign in my honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law, are held by Help Hope Live in the Southeast Spinal Cord Injury Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for injury-related expenses only. If you would like to make a contribution, please click the DONATE NOW bar.

April, dont give up. I had a great uncle that got paralyzed just like u in a logging accident when tree fell on him so many years ago- chest down. I reached out to Christine Kent, who was paraplegic after shooting, not too long after ur wreck. She was on id your worst night nightmare. I have made so many friends by merely reaching out to them. April i pray that Jesus blesses u in spite of ur disability! Love you!

Your smile in your picture is very encouraging to others whom might be going through a similar situation. I hope you raise the money you need.
