Timothy Greeney received the gift-of-life through a lifesaving liver transplant this past February 16th, 2016 at Shands Hospital at the Univeristy of Florida. Prior to his transplant, Timothy had been through many medical challenges, and was diagnosed with a fistula, or hole inside his spinal cord. This deprived his nerves from blood flow needed to keep his nerves alive, and unfortunately Timothy suffered partial paralysis as a result of the fistula. As if the paralysis wasn’t enough, more recently Timothy was diagnosed with a rare and progressive form of liver cancer, which essentially destroyed his liver and caused him to need a transplant. Weight loss, nausea and vomiting, severe weakness and fatigue, abdominal pain and jaundice were his way of life for several years.

Timothy was born in Evansville, Indiana and raised along with his older siblings. After graduating from high school, he attended Graceland University, and worked hard to support his family in a career in retail for almost 30 years. For those who know Timothy on a personal level, he is a wonderful, sweet, and generous man. He is a loving father and the type of person who will give someone the shirt off his back. He is a determined, positive and patient person — three qualities that he exhibits every day; especially as he recovers from his surgery

GOOD NEWS UPDATE: Tim is still recovering from his liver transplant at Shands Rehabilitation Center in Gainesville, Florida and is making great improvements each and every day. He is adjusting very well to his medications and so far is not showing any major signs of organ rejection. His family and daughter, Zoe continue to stand by his side and care for him each day, but Tim's out-of-pocket medical expenses continue to add up, and he still needs your continued love, prayers and financial support to help make ends meet. Medical bills, living expenses, co-pays and deductibles, medications, meals and lodging fees continue to add up to more than Tim can handle alone. Please consider a tax-deductible donation to help Tim make ends meet! Any amount, no matter how big or how small, is one step closer to a better life and brighter future for Tim! Thank you ahead of time for your generous support. Gratefully, Tim's family, friend and community

Hi guys, thank you for your notes of encouragements. "I am truly blessed." Don't get me wrong the money has been helpful, and I am so far under I don't know if I will get caught up. The most important aspect of this site is hearing caring words from friends. I appreciate Jen and Marlene's comments {friends from Dillards}, and you are right Jen we built some good memories. Also, I want to thank my church family in Marion and thank them for their pray and good wishes. I want to thank my family Brenda, Gary, Zoe, uncle Gene, aunt Wilma, Beth, Paul, Doug and wife, Greg and family, Carrie and family, Aunt Alice, and Terry. If I forgot anyone I am truly sorry. I am feeling good thanks to the transplant team. The one downside is the 22 pills I have to take, and the fact that I have to depend on a wheel chair to get around. Thanks again for all your support
Luv you all
Tim
