TT (Tom) Clark, a lifetime resident of East Boston, is in need of a kidney transplant and needs the help of the community to make it happen. TT has been battling diabetes, which ultimately caused kidney failure. Currently, he is on dialysis 3 days a week, which is keeping him alive. Dialysis is a draining and exhausting procedure and it is taking a toll on his body and his family life.
TT has a wonderful life ahead of him and hopes he can enjoy it to the fullest once he is transplanted. He wants to stay healthy for as long as possible to be with his kids, grandkids, wife, and 2 dogs. TT is going for a transplant evaluation at Mass General and we are also starting the search for a living donor.
Transplants are lifesaving but very expensive. Even with insurance, TT will have many out-of-pocket costs, including travel to and from the hospital, co-pays and the costly anti-rejection medications. I will also have to take a significant amount of time off work to care for him, which will put a financial burden on our family.
To help offset such expenses, a fundraising campaign in TT’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive. To make a tax-deductible donation, click Donate Now.
Your support is critical to the overall success of TT’s struggle. Please know that your contribution counts and mark your calendars for our upcoming fundraising event on April 24th. On behalf of Tom and our family, we thank you in advance for your kind consideration.
Gratefully,
Dawn Clark, wife and friend for over 20yrs
