Juan suffered a traumatic spinal cord injury in an accident at home. He is paralyzed from the neck down with very limited ability to move his arms and legs. Right now, Juan is able to move his wheelchair with his chin but he is hoping that, with extensive physical therapy, he will be able to use his hands someday. As you can imagine, the care Juan needs is very labor intensive and expensive, which is why we need your help.
Before the accident, Juan was a very active and athletic man who was also a gifted musician. He hopes to return to his busy and active life walking his dog and playing the guitar. In spite of the struggles he faces, Juan remains hopeful that he will be able to return to a productive life in the community through the support of family, friends and donors such as yourself. He and his wife Jill, with the help of Juan’s coworkers at John L Scott, have modified their home so that it is wheelchair accessible. They still need a modified van to be able to take Juan to his many appointments and to get him out of the house as well as additional items and treatments that are not covered by his insurance and are very costly.
To help with the financial burden of Juan Reyes’ uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in his honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by Help Hope Live in the Northwest Spinal Cord Injury Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for injury-related expenses only. Please, consider a contribution.

Please keep an eye on this webpage because we will be planning some fundraising events soon and will keep you updated on Juan’s progress. Feel free to mail or email this letter out to your friends in hope that we reach more people that might be able to assist.
We thank you for your kindness, support, and generosity.
