Today Scott struggles to walk and has very limited use of his right hand. He told me he is starting to forget what it was like to be normal, when walking he has to concentrate on each and every step. The simple act of walking takes everything he has, his cane helps some with his balance, but it is still very difficult. He has completely changed his diet, he goes to the gym most every day (to keep his muscles active), and he is doing everything else with in his powers to battle this terrible disease.

Having exhausted every avenue for treatment in the US, Scott has been in contact with the Clinica Ruiz, a medical clinic in Mexico, which has been a pioneer in treating PPMS and other diseases. The clinic, and its principal doctor Guillermo Ruiz, are well-renowned all over the world, and many patients with MS have seen significant results after undergoing a Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) procedure. HSCT has shown great potential for greatly reducing, and in many cases stopping completely the symptoms of MS. Scott has been accepted as a patient at Clinica Ruiz and is scheduled to begin the procedure on September 12, 2016.

It has been a long hard road, and we are nearing the end. We had to refinance our home to come up with the funds to get Scott's HSCT (stem cell transplant). He is scheduled to leave on September 11th, and he is going.

We have been blessed by so many people who have helped us along the way. Thank you each and everyone of you.

We can not stop now, we still need help raising funds to help cover his post HSCT needs. Please don't stop trying to Help Scott Fight MS.

Well we just finished our yard sale Monday. Thanks to the wonderful people of Battle Creek, we made $3,409 Thank You. We are at $16, 283 of our $80,000 goal. WE have a long way to go and a short time to get there,

Scott fell a few weeks ago, he falls a lot. But this time he fell hard and badly bruised his ribs. He lost a week of work. It is becoming harder and harder for him to work, but he does not give up. He is the strongest person I have ever meet. He can barely walk, but still works 40 hours a week. He is incredible. I wish I had the drive he does.

Please continue to support Scot Fight MS. We can not let it win.

I am going through the early stages of PPMS and this disease is a monster that doesn't stop. Having an untreatable disease that is taking over your body is un imaginable until it happens to you. You are a true soldier and I hope you get the money soon to stop the progression in its tracts. I am battling myself every min and its kicking my butt. If you have a moment call me @480-685-5276 I am in Phoenix, Az.
