I HAVE BEEN ON DIALYSIS NOW FOR 16 YEARS. WHEN I WAS 12 YEARS OLD WE FOUND OUT THAT MY KIDNEY'S WERE FAILING. TO MY SURPRISE I DIDN'T THINK IT WOULD BE SO FAST AT THE AGE OF 15 ONE MONTH FROM ME TURNING 16 I STARTED DIALYSIS. IT WAS CAUSE BY ME HAVING UNTREATED STREP THROAT WE THOUGHT WAS A COMMON COLD, BUT IT WAS A LOT MORE SERIOUS THAN THAT. I'M SO VERY GRATEFUL AND THANKFUL THE LORD HAS BROUGHT ME THIS FAR IN LIFE WITH BEING A DIALYSIS PATIENT. I HAVE DONE SOME UNTHINKABLE THINGS BEING A PATIENT ON DIALYSIS. ONE OF THEM IS CARRYING MY SON WHO IS NOW 4 YEARS OLD. I HAD TO DO DIALYSIS TREATMENTS 6 DAYS A WEEK CARRYING HIM IT WAS HARD ON ME BUT I DONE IT FOR MY SON. WE MADE IT TO 35 WEEK HE WAS BORN ON MY BIRTHDAY AND IT WAS THE HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE. THANK YOU FOR READING MY STORY. IM SO READY FOR A TRANSPLANT NOW. I WAS ALWAYS SO SCARED OF THE SURGERY BUT I'VE HAD A CHILD AND HEART SURGERY SO I KNOW I CAN DO THIS TOO. THANK YOU FOR DONATING FOR A WONDERFUL CAUSE. GOD BLESS HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY..

Dearest Shanicka, you have been an inspiration to me for many years now. I knew you before your adulthood, when you were my little "Joshua" in our Church Play. I loved how your Gma Mattie called you her little "Neekie" You were definitely leading people to the Promised Land. God has you here for a reason...we sometime never see the outcome of our work on this Earth, but we know that we are headed to Caanan's Land where the Soul never dies. Your Love , Strength and Courage is such an influence on others, Shanicka, God will continue to use you for Great Things. I have always loved you, since Jesus Christ put you in our lives.
