Laila Hollins, the daughter of Tasha and Larry Hollins of Zachary, LA, is in need of a lifesaving transplant and needs your help to make it happen.
At birth, Laila was diagnosed with gastroschisis, a rare birth defect where the intestines are outside of the stomach. She is 10 months old and has had eight surgeries due to complications. She has to have medications every day to get her nutrients and to help her gain weight because she is unable to eat. Laila’s only chance at a normal, healthy life is a multi-visceral transplant that includes her bowel, liver, and pancreas.
Transplants are life-saving but financially draining. Even with insurance, Tasha and Larry are facing very high expenses including travel to and from the hospital, relocation to be close to Laila, post-transplant medications, copays and more. This is a challenge they cannot face alone.
To help with the financial burden of Laila’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in her honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law, are held by Help Hope Live in the Southeast Multi-Visceral Transplant Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider a contribution.

Your support is critical to the overall success of Laila’s struggle. Please know that your contribution counts. On behalf of Laila and her family, we thank you in advance for your kind consideration.
Gratefully,
Tasha and Larry Hollins, (Laila’s parents)
