Stephen Ulerie, a loving husband, father, brother and friend is desperately fighting for his life and needs a lifesaving double lung transplant. For the past eight years, Stephen has been battling COPD, a progressive lung disease that makes it very difficult to breathe. COPD causes excessive coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and many other symptoms. Stephen’s condition has unfortunately progressed and he has been recently diagnosed with Stage-4 COPD. Without a double lung transplant, Stephen will quickly run out of time as he is fighting for his life each and every day that passes.
Stephen is married with a loving family who are committed to seeing him through his transplant. At 62 years-old, he is running out of time to receive a lung transplant. Without new lungs, Stephen has been given a maximum of 18 months to survive — he longs to see his children grow into adulthood and the day he can walk his daughter down the aisle. Those who know Stephen would consider him one of the most loving and kind individuals you will ever meet. They refer to him as a “gentle giant” as he stands at 6 feet 6 inches, and is the most loyal and best friend to everyone he meets. Stephen is an inspiration to those around him – he is always supporting others to be the best they can be and pay it forward. We would all be lost without Stephen’s example and encouragement, so please consider supporting Stephen through his very difficult journey ahead.
