My loving dad and role model, Don Sipe, is in need of a liver transplant to cure him of a rare form of bile duct cancer. Since his diagnosis at the end of January, Dad has had several medical procedures to place internal and external drains to help his liver function properly. My dad has undergone radiation, and is currently receiving chemotherapy on an ongoing basis until he gets a new liver. Dad needs our help because the medical costs related to transplant are overwhelming.

My Dad retired just a year and a half ago and was looking forward to spending lots of time with his four kids and eight grandkids, swimming and traveling with my mom, singing in choir, continuing his elder role at church, and doing so much more. His only chance to return to good health is a liver transplant.

Dad is making progress with his new liver! He is now free of cancer AND staples AND drains. He has been able to get in the pool and take short walks! His “leash” from the hospital is getting a little longer as he is required to go to clinic less frequently. He is having lots of back pain; more physical therapy will hopefully help ease that. God has more in store for him! Thank you so much for your prayers and support! We are so grateful.

Dad got his new liver yesterday and is doing quite well!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are so thankful!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Praise God!!!!!!!!!!!

Now he will need anti-rejection meds that cost thousands of dollars per month. We are raising funds to assist with that. Can you help?

We keep praying. Every time I hear the Flight for Life fly overhead, I say an extra prayer - maybe this is the one...
