Eddie Lawrence is a 58-year-old man who is currently battling Parkinson’s disease. After battling this insidious illness for over ten years, there’s hope on the horizon. A new stem cell treatment to combat Parkinson’s disease has been developed but the cost of this new procedure is overwhelming to him and his family. Eddie is a kind and unique friend to all of us; his generosity over the years has touched each of us. Now he needs our help!
Eddie grew up in Union County and graduated from Edison Tech High School. He went on to attend Rutgers University to study Communications. During his college years he met Marcella; they married and started a family. He opened Atlantic Printing as a business in 1994, and has helped and employed many people throughout the years. However Parkinson’s has eroded his physical ability to work. Eddie and his family and friends are committed to seeing him through to this stem cell procedure.
This revolutionary new stem cell procedure is highly effective for combatting Parkinson’s, but the cost is not covered by any health insurances as of yet and it is very expensive. The total cost is over $14,000! Added to that is the cost of airfare for Eddie and his caregiver as well as lodging.
To help with the financial burden of Eddie Lawrence’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in his honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law, are held by Help Hope Live in the Mid-Atlantic Stem Cell Transplant Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider a contribution.
