Becky has a three-month old baby girl named Scarlett. Critically ill and hospitalized during the last months of her pregnancy, Becky had her baby prematurely. The baby is doing fine, but Becky is understandably devastated and heartbroken that she has been unable to mother her child. She has been so sick since Scarlett was born that she has barely held her baby. Wanting to be with Scarlett is getting her through a long and challenging recovery. She is determined that as soon as she is well enough, she will reunite with Scarlett and start raising her child.
Transplants are lifesaving but financially draining. Even with insurance, Becky is facing very high expenses including relocation for up to a year to be closer to University of Maryland Medical Center, post-transplant medications, co-pays, lab fees and more.
To help offset such expenses, a fundraising campaign in Becky’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Mid-Atlantoc Lung Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. If you would like to make a contribution, please click the DONATE NOW bar.
For more information, please contact HelpHOPELive at 800.642.8399.
Thank you for your prayers, support and generosity. If you can find it in your heart to help
with $1 or $1000 please know every single dollar helps.
Gratefully,
Robert Cobb, Becky’s Brother
