Chester (Chet) Smith is a 35-year-old husband and father in need of a kidney transplant and he needs the help of his community to make it happen. Transplants are life-saving but very expensive.

In 2008, Chet was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), which is the last stage of kidney disease. It means his kidneys failed and they stopped working; he cannot survive without dialysis or a kidney transplant. On Aug 4, 2008 Chet had dialysis for the first time. Chet is now completely dependent on dialysis which he undergoes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. His only chance to return to good health is kidney transplant.

Dear Temperance & Chet, I know that God provides. Thank you for wearing your campaign shirts today. I know you are doing all you can. God is a God of miracles. He has always and continues to move mountains. I know He always provides. Please take care and keep complete faith and hope. God is above. Matthew 19:26 "....with God all things are possible" ~ I know this to be true in my and my family's life. He has continually provided and is with us every step of the way. He will be there for you every step of the way. It will be ok. With Love and Hope and Faith! (We just submitted our donation and know God can multiply it beyond what we all can give!)
