Duawn Harper Sr is a family man who needs a kidney transplant and help from his community, friends, and family to make it happen. A kidney transplant will save his life and give him more time with his family, but even with insurance, the cost of transplant quickly becomes overwhelming.

At the age of 27, Duawn was diagnosed with glomerulonephritis. He fought hard to save what kidney function he had left until in 2007, at the age of 38, he was forced on dialysis. This ended his long career as a truck driver and his position as financial provider to his family was weakened. Duawn does home dialysis 4 days a week to stay alive and to be there for his family. The only way to return to good health is a kidney transplant.
