As many of you know, my sweet mother Marla Hodges has been battling the devastating disease of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for nearly 20 years. She has been a lifelong resident of Springfield, Missouri and grew up in Crane, Missouri. Her sense of humor and fight has made this terrible disease seem like it isn’t nearly as devastating as it is but her quality of life has been drastically altered. Recently, Marla has found new research and treatment in Florida for Stem Cell Therapy. After her own research, and the testimonies of others with MS, she and her family have decided this is what she needs. This is her chance to be able to walk or even function at higher level again. Unfortunately, the cost of transplant can be overwhelming and she needs your support.

She is officially FULLY APPROVED! Praise the Lord! We heard back yesterday right before 5pm so there was not any time to contact them regarding dates etc. We have been looking into flights and such and trying to decide on when to schedule the stay. It will be quite the ordeal getting her there via plane, but hopefully we will be able to get some answers on how to be best prepared for flying with her chair. We have appreciated the outpouring of love today as we got this news! Thank you for the continued prayers and support!

Hey everyone! Today we were told that all information needed for mom to be approved has been submitted and given to the doctors at Stemedix! We should know within the week for final approval and be able to set a date for the procedure! We are so very excited! We have been brainstorming for ideas on ways to help raise the money a little faster! We have been praying and He continues to show us how this is exactly what she needs. Thank you to our friends and family that are supporting us during this journey for her. We love you all.

Hey all! This is Sarah, Marla's daughter. I will be writing updates throughout to keep you all posted! Mom is in the early stages of getting approved for a stem cell transplant that would very well give her back full use of her body! While that is an extreme goal, we know the Lord will walk us through this and nothing with Him is anything short of a miracle! It is because of Him that we even found out that this was possible local to the US! We has been tossing up some other options for her, but all were located in the UK etc. Then, one night mom was watching a video of a wedding and another video popped up about Stemedix and a lady's testimony that was very similar to Mom's and she is back to her old self! How amazing would that be?! This company and treatment is located in Florida! Very convenient and worth the trip! Let us know if you have any questions about it. We plan to schedule the procedure in about 6 months or sooner if the funds are available. Thank you all for your continued support and prayers during this journey!
