Bob’s life changed dramatically when he was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis in 2010. His condition worsened over the years to the point where his quality of life was almost none existent. As a result, he was accepted as a candidate for a lung transplant and was placed on a waiting list in December 2015. After much anticipation, Bob received a lung transplant March 31, 2016, and returned home 52 days later on May 19, 2016.

Bob is a very loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoys fishing with his grandchildren and daughter, as well as working in his garage and garden. Since Bob’s diagnosis with pulmonary fibrosis, he has not been able to participate in these activities that provide him with immense joy.
