On July 24, 2015, Janine was seriously injured in a one-story fall in San Francisco. She suffered a traumatic brain injury and a complete T-12 spinal cord injury that left her paralyzed from the waist down.

Janine has spent the past year working hard to recover from her injuries. Her incredible spirit has kept her going through extreme pain, suffering and hardship. But she refuses to give up and her smile still shines brightly. Today, she is in rehab five days a week, continuing the push to get herself better.

Hi Janine,
I don’t know if you remember me. I made those candle holders & Goldberg Family nameplate. I had some spare time & was on the web looking for past ‘friend-of-family’ history. I think it was 2006 I made a visit to your residence along with your mother. I hope you are/have recovered significantly - physically & mentally - from your ordeal. Be well & take care.

Hi Neen! We finished the trail today! After peaking Mount Whitney early yesterday, we descended to a campsite near the end of the trail and hiked out this morning. Can't wait to tell you all about it and to celebrate your progress and the great results of the fundraising!
