Dan received a kidney transplant two years ago thanks to the selfless generosity of his friend Ray Case. Prior to receiving his new kidney, Dan had been on dialysis three times a week for four hours each time. Along with having to be on dialysis, Dan has also faced several other medical difficulties during this time. For the first two years of receiving treatment Dan was unable to work due to the toll it took on his body.

Since receiving his new kidney, Dan’s overall health has improved greatly. Dan has been able to return to his lifelong work in the human service and mental health field providing services to those in need. Dan works with children and adults helping them to become successful in their communities. This job provides Dan with great contentment and helps him meet his basic needs.

Two year anniversary of my kidney transplant.

June 29, 2015

Friends and Family,

It has been two years now since my kidney transplant and I am happy to report that things are going quite well.

Since receiving the transplant the quality of life I have experienced has been a tremendous improvement from that of being on dialysis three days a week, four hours each day.

I am working full-time for and organization that provides services to children and adults with mental health disorders. This work is very rewarding and I am so grateful that I am physically able to do this kind of work. It is a true honor to be able to be a part of other people's lives.

I have also continuously been humbled by being asked to share my story about experiencing Kidney failure and being on dialysis to meeting my donor at church and being completely overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of this wonderful man.

To all of you who have followed my story and sent prayers, support and contributions I wish to thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I am currently working with others to establish more fundraising events that might help me reach my goal and I will keep you all posted on these events.

My prayer for all of you is for good health and happiness in your lives. Gad Bless you all,

Dan Espenoza
