Tom, Clare, Erik and Andrew are givers, not receivers. We know this because so many of us have spent multiple Thanksgivings or Christmas Eves’ at their home, even bringing along our mothers, mothers-in-law and that third cousin from Okoboji. Over the years, scores of boys from East HS made the daily lunch trek to the Ouellette home with Erik and Andrew to raid the cabinets and refrigerator at lunch — the larders were restocked every day! Yes, Andrew and his family are some of the most generous and loving people you will ever meet. Many of us are now looking for a way to help sweet Andrew so that he can soon return to his active lifestyle and to his family and community that miss his bright smile.
Unfortunately, even with insurance the family will face many uninsured injury-related expenses such as: co-pays and deductibles, home modifications, rehab therapy, specialized durable equipment and at some point, an accessible vehicle. Home modifications are in progress so that Andrew can return home to his family and Cosmo as he continues his long road to recovery.
To help with the financial burden of Andrew’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in his honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law, are held by Help Hope Live in the Midwest/West Spinal Cord Injury Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for injury-related expenses only. Please consider making a contribution today and click the DONATE NOW button.
Thank you in advance for your support and generosity and for keeping Andrew and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

All of you are amazing and inspirational. Our hope is that your determination and hard work will lead to a full recovery. We all love you Andrew. You can do this!

Andrew . . . we don't know you personally, but have recently experienced a similar journey. We are rooting and praying for you. In spite of these new challenges, keep seeking the positive (you are clearly loved by many) and keep fighting (you're an athlete and know how to work hard). You can recover more function than the doctors will tell you. They need to be conservative, you don't . . . shoot for the stars.
