Courtney Rosencrans is a 37-year-old man who is very ill with congestive heart failure and needs a heart transplant. He was born with multiple heart defects and has had numerous heart surgeries over the years. This past November he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and was treated at a local hospital. However, his condition worsened in March 2016 and he was admitted to a Boston Massachusetts hospital and put on a heart transplant list. Courtney is one of the kindest people you’d ever hope to meet and he needs your help. The cost of a heart transplant can be overwhelming.

Courtney grew up in Albany, NY and has worked for almost 17 years despite all of his health issues. He is married and has a nineteen-month old daughter. His illness has forced him to stop working. Although he has been moved up on the transplant list it can still take over a year before he gets a transplant and longer for recovery and post surgery treatment. He has a very supportive family to see him through this very difficult time.

We can never repay all of you for all that you have done, but please know that it is truly appreciated. Please continue to keep my family in your thoughts and prayers.

Mother, sing me a song That will ease my pain, Mend broken bones, Bring wholeness again. Catch my babies When they are born, Sing my death song, Teach me how to mourn. Show me the Medicine Of the healing herbs, The value of spirit, The way I can serve. Mother, heal my heart So that I can see The gifts of yours That can live through me.

I saw the article in the Times Union and recognized Courtney from the Parking Authority. I work downtown and he was always the one in the office to refill my cash key. Always a nice guy to deal with. You and your family are in my thoughts and I wish you the best.
