My husband, Saul Robledo is a 59-year-old man who is very ill. Saul’s life was thrown into an upheaval when he was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure in November of 2013. He was on hemodialysis for the first five months, and has since been on peritoneal dialysis every night for 10 hours. Saul’s doctors have told us that he is now in need of a life-saving kidney transplant.
Saul has been my loving husband for more than 41 years and is the kindest and most considerate person you will ever meet. He has been a pastor of New Life Church in Pasco, Washington, a small community church in the Tri-Cities area for about 33 years. Saul is an active member of the community and good friend to many. Now he needs your support.
Transplants are life-saving, but can be financially draining. Even with insurance, there are many expenses related to the transplant that must be covered out of pocket. Some of these costs include co-pays and deductibles, lab fees, travel and temporary relocation housing for up to six weeks post-transplant to be close to Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, WA. Additionally, Saul will need to take costly anti-rejection medications for the rest of his life of expensive anti-rejection medications. This puts our family up against a challenge we cannot meet alone and need your help.
To help with the financial burden of Saul’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in his honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law, and are held by Help Hope Live in the Northwest Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by the Help Hope Live for transplant-related expenses only. On behalf of Saul and our families, thank you for your prayers, support, kindness and generosity. Keep an eye on this campaign page because we will be planning some fundraising events soon and posting updates regularly.
Gratefully,
Marcia Robledo
