Jim grew up in Manistee, MI and attended Kendall School of Art & Design. The outdoors and art have been his passions since childhood. The love he has for his family is the only thing that surpasses that passion. His children mean the world to him and he is struggling with the realization that without a transplant he will miss out on many milestones yet to come in their lives.
Jim is a Certified Nursing Assistant; he spends his days taking care of others. He does it with incredible patience and care. Now, it is Jim’s turn to be taken care of.
There are out-of-pocket expenses for the transplant itself, required caregiver, and follow up treatments post-transplant. A significant life-time expense is the anti-rejection medications which are not fully covered by insurance.
To help with Jim’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in his honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law, are held by Help Hope Live in the North-Central Liver Transplant Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for transplant-related expenses only.

With your help Jim’s future could be brighter. Thank you for all your help and support in this difficult time.
Gratefully,
Janet Lacki, Jim’s wife
