Wesley was raised in Waverly, OH and graduated from Huntington High School in 1977. He has been disabled since 1998 due to chronic heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and now kidney failure. Wesley’s doctors have told him that a kidney transplant is his best hope for a long and healthy life.
Transplants are lifesaving but financially draining. Even with the help of insurance, Wesley is facing very high expenses. Some of these expenses include pre-transplant evaluation and testing (including all of the trips to the doctor, treatment and tests), potential relocation to St. Louis, and the costly mediations Wesley will have to take for the rest of his life.
To help with these expenses, a fundraising campaign in Wesley’s honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law, are held by Help Hope Live in the North-Central Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for transplant-related expenses only. Thank you in advance for your generosity and desire to help.
Sincerely,
Toni Mitchell, Wesley’s wife
