You may have had your computer repaired by Eric, or seen him perform on guitar in his earlier years. Or maybe you know Eric from one of the many functions his daughter’s Sydney and Kelsey participate in. Eric needs your help now. Even with the many medications he has been on, every month brings a new challenge with even the simplest daily tasks. The Stem Cell treatment may be able to reverse some of the damage caused by MS and prevent further attacks. His wish from this treatment is to be able to continue working and take care of his daughters.
StemGenex provides an ethical procedure of using the patient’s own stem cells from their fat tissue. Eric’s family has had to make big changes in their lifestyle to take care of him, which has been very difficult physically, emotionally, and financially. StemGenex Medical Group has estimated that uninsured expenses will be more than $20,000. Costs will include travel to California, medical testing, treatment and more.
To help offset such expenses, a fundraising campaign in Eric’s honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law, are held by Help Hope Live in the New York Stem Cell Transplant Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for transplant-related expenses only. If you would like to make a contribution, please click the DONATE NOW bar.
Thank you for your good wishes and generosity.
Cathy Lacy, Eric’s mom
d like to take this opportunity to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has taken the time to pray, spent their hard earned money to donate, used their own personal resources to organize, and gone above and beyond in every way shape and form to help someone who has fallen on rough times. I’m writing this with tears in my eyes because I had no idea how many people cared about me. I am absolutely overwhelmed by everything everyone has done so generously. Recently there have been a couple rough patches but I am on the way to a better healthier life where I plan to fight this disease no matter what it takes. I had the privilege to fly to California to a state of the art stem cell facility where they not only gave me a very hopeful procedure to possibly reverse the effects of MS, but they also treated me like family every step of the way. I’m now a changed man as I flew back to NY, minus the flu bug I caught on the plane and a couple hospital visits from that. I consider it just part of the plan. I’ve totally changed my diet, introduced recommended supplements, added additional reflexology therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and massage therapy. There is a whole holistic approach to this stem cell procedure that I’m following consistently now. It’s all about a positive outlook on life that I have gained from all of you and I couldn’t have done any of this without you. I simply cannot express enough how grateful I am.
Friends, Although it's not showing yet, I have reached my goal! I am so grateful for everyone's contributions, thoughts, and prayers. I have been able to schedule my Stemcell treatment in California for February 7th. You are all in my heart! I will post more updates soon!
