Tracy L. Smith is a wife of 34 years, mother, and fun grandmother. Up until a few years ago Tracy lived a vibrant, active life! She enjoyed bike riding, swimming and going for walks through the park with her grandchildren. Tracy and Larry also enjoyed fishing and the outdoors together.

Now, Tracy needs a kidney transplant. Her husband is now a full-time caregiver. Tracy spends a lot of time at doctor’s appointments and takes several medications to manage her condition. She went on the kidney transplant list over 4 years ago. At least 3 days a week Tracy has to go to the dialysis clinic of which she is hooked up to a machine for hours each time. Although dialysis helps manage her condition, it is extremely time consuming and leaves Tracy physically and mentally exhausted afterward.

“By no means am I ungrateful that the good Lord has me around to spend time with my husband, children, and grandchildren. I thank God every day I wake up for the gift He has given me. Now there is an opportunity for a better quality of life.” ~Tracy Smith
