I am writing to ask for your prayers and support for my best friend Timothy Ford. Tim is a great friend, father, and man of honor who admirably served for his country. Unfortunately, he has been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy (severe heart failure). This condition has caused a progressive deterioration in his health, and he is now in dire need of a heart transplant. Currently, Tim requires numerous medications and hospitalizations until he is able to receive a transplant — his only chance at survival.
Even with insurance Tim will have many uninsured, transplant-related expenses such as: co-pays and deductibles, travel to and from the transplant center and the costly immunosuppressant medications that he will need to take for the rest of his life. Tim’s doctors estimate that he may have yearly out-of-pocket expenses totaling $20,000. This presents a financial burden that he cannot meet alone. As you can imagine, fundraising is essential to providing him with a successful life post-transplant.
To help with this financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Tim’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Southwest Heart Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.Thank you for your support.
