Paul has brought joy and laughter to everyone who knows him. He has given freely of his time and talent not expecting anything in return. Most of you know Paul as an artist, and knows he is in the room just by hearing his laughter. Help keep him laughing by keeping him alive.
Transplants can and do save lives, but even with insurance can be financially draining. Paul is facing very high expenses including post-transplant medication, which can be around $1,200 a month, co-pays, lab fees, and much more.
To help with the financial burden of Paul’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in his honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law, are held by Help Hope Live in the Southeast Heart Transplant Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider a contribution and sharing Paul’s story.
Thank you all for your prayers, love, support, and generosity. By working together, we can look forward to hearing Paul’s laughter for many years to come.
Gratefully,
Barbara Youngblood, Paul’s wife.
Hello Everyone. We have almost reached our goal. The bills are now rolling in. Please continue to help us reach our goal by sharing this page. Paul is doing well. Still on the road to recovery, and would like to thank everyone for their continued support.
Good news! Paul was finally released from the hospital yesterday. He had some "bumps in the road", but pulled through. Again, I would like to thank everyone for their prayers and loving support. Please continue to share this page so we can reach our goal. Paul's message to all is: "I thank you all, with every beat of my heart!"
Great news! Paul got a heart transplant on Saturday, April 29, 2017! He is doing well, minus a few bumps in the road, but overall, everything is looking good. We thank everyone for your continued generous support, love, and prayers to helping us reach our first goal.
We are well on our way to our first goal. This first goal is to try and satisfy the financial obligations required before the transplant. Thank you all for your generosity.

Our dear friends, we are praying for you both. We are confident Jehovah is giving you His help during this difficult time. "“Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6,7)
