Meitta Teage is a 35-year-old woman who is very ill. After six years of a mass sitting on her right adrenal gland, the struggle of uncontrolled blood pressure, diabetes, and congestive heart failure has led to her only hope for survival – the need for a heart and kidney transplant. Meitta is one of the most positive people you could ever hope to meet and she needs our help. The cost of a transplant is astronomical.

Meitta grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and studied Cosmetology at the Riverside Hairstyling Academy. She is a single mother of two children, ages 18 and 14. She was employed by EverHome Mortgage Company in 2010 until a company merger layoff in May 2014. Meitta started a janitorial business (J-n-M SparCleaning Service), but due to health problems could not continue to pursue her business.

Good morning all, I know it a very late update but I went in for my heart transplant September 16, 2017. I was lying on the table when they put me under and they place a probe down my throat and say that my heart had corrected it self from an ejection fraction of 15% to 45% with the help of the medicine. They immediately notified my family as they are waiting in the waiting room that I didn’t need the heart at this time. I still remain on the waiting list because the doctors stated that they don’t know how long the medicine would continue to work. They also have not released me from there care. So I as still that every one still keep my in your prayers and every donation will bless me to continue to receive the care and provide for my family.

Thank you

It’s a great day! I have been informed that I am 1B on the waiting list. If you are wondering as I was “What place is that?”, well it is 2nd from the top of the list. I am really excited because I have heard and read that it could take years for a heart transplant and it will be 7mo on the 27th of this month that I have been waiting. I say God is good and he definitely answers prayers. I thank God for life health and strength and a great support system.
