Some of you know me, most of you probably don’t, however, my name is Michelle and I am Tom’s part time assistant at his law office. As all of you know, Tom has sadly been struggling with health issues for many years. I, for one, believe he is part cat and has 9 lives. This time, however, he really needs our help. To know TQ, is to LOVE TQ! He’s one of the kindest, most generous people I’ve ever known, and really how many people can say that about their boss?
Tom is on a list right now to get a much needed, much anticipated liver transplant. Tom is a fighter, of this, we are certain. Nevertheless, Tom and his family are up against a challenge that they simply cannot meet alone. We all know the toll that medical bills can take on a person, as well as their family. Tom is not one to ask for donations, in fact, he’s usually the one giving! However, even with insurance, the costs associated with transplantation are financially draining. This is where your support is needed.
To help with the financial burden of Tom’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in his honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law, are held by Help Hope Live in the Mid-Atlantic Liver Transplant Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for transplant related expenses only. Please consider a contribution.

Thank you in advance for your prayers, support, and generosity. If you could find it in your heart to help out a friend, it would be very much appreciated by me, Tom’s family, and of course, TQ himself. Together we can make a difference!
On October 25 we took the follow up trip to Cleveland clinic . All blood work and scans look great.
A few tweaks to the medication but the doctors are very pleased with Tommy's progress. He is doing so well they do not need to see him until July 2018.
We are so grateful to all of the doctors, nurses and staff at Cleveland Clinic. We are also thankful for the continued support of all our friends and family who helped get us through this journey.
We wish you all a very merry Christmas and a Healthy, Happy and Blessed New Year!
Phyllis & Tommy
Just a quick update, since all is going so well. It has been a little over 3 months since Tommy had his liver transplant. He has been feeling great and has even started to go back to work a little. We are going to be heading back to Cleveland in October for a follow up with the transplant team.
We also would like to thank everyone who has visited this site. We cant tell you how much it meant to have so much support from all of you. We are still reeling from the whole experience.
I will continue to post updates here but he is doing so well , not much else to say right now accept "all is well"
This has been an amazing journey, proof that miracles do happen! The best is yet to come. We are feeling very thankful and blessed. The love and support from family and friends has been a great motivation. We love and appreciate you all❤️
Today Tommy went for lab work and this wednesday July19, he has a follow up visit with the transplant doctors in Cleveland . So far all has been going very well... labs have been good , incision is healing . Tommy has high hopes that doctors will give him the "ok" to leave Ohio and head back to New Jersey

i am happy to update that Tommy has had a successful liver transplant and is now on his way to recovering... it has been a long time waiting...After the 5th call in it has finally become a reality...
We are so thankful to have the love , support and prayers of so many.. It has truly been a blessing... we still need the continuing prayers for a speedy recovery..
I believe in the power of prayer and having strong faith to get me through most things in life... this was a true test.. The doctors and staff at Cleveland Clinic are our angels and miracle workers...God bless them all
CALL #3 May 23 .... checked in to hospital once again with hopes that third time would be the charm. Unfortunately after 20 hours of waiting we were discharged . We are still hopefully waiting ... keep the prayers coming
may 20 we received another call a little after midnight... with high hopes we drove back to Cleveland Clinic . unfortunately after waiting through the night the surgeons declined the incoming liver and discharged Tommy.
Continued prayers that the next call will be the ONE !
oh the ups and downs of this process can take a toll , we were so close, but this turned out to be a "dry run" as they call it. after all the prep and waiting the incoming liver was not viable. So we are here in Cleveland and will continue our waiting .... continued prayers would be much appreciated
may 5,2017 Tommy got the call last night to go to hospital to prepare for possible transplant... still awaiting word from sending hospital that liver is on its way.... we have our fingers crossed that this is a good match for him... please continue to send prayerful thoughts in our direction...
we thank you all for the well wishes, love and support
Phyllis & TQ
hello to all our family and friends who come to this site. I just want to update you all on the situation. Tommy is doing fine right now, but he has been placed on the transplant list with the Cleveland Clinic. Still a few final steps to be taken to update his status on the list. Once his paperwork has been transferred from Mt Sinai things might move quickly. Tommy is going to be going out to Ohio to stay with his daughter, Nicole, so he will be close when he gets the call....at which time I will go out there ,as well , to stay with him. We will probably be out there for about 6-8 weeks , but I will keep this blog updated with his progress.
Thank you all for your love and concern and support
