I am a parent to four grown children and very blessed to have seven grandchildren. When I am not at dialysis or at doctor visits I love to be doing anything outdoors! Fishing and camping were favorite hobbies; And reading James Patterson!
I have started the transplant process, which is a long process but I am so thankful to be well enough to get a transplant. Now I am trying to prepare for the financial aspects of transplant. Even with insurance, there are many expenses that are out-of-pocket; pre-surgery and post-transplant expenses, travel, temporary lodging to stay close to the transplant center after the surgery and the expensive post-transplant medications that I will have to take for the rest of my life.
To help with the financial burden of my uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in my honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law, are held by Help Hope Live in the South-Central Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for transplant-related expenses only. Please consider making a contribution.
Thank you so much for donating and visiting my page. God bless!
