Pete Sampogna is a 60-year-old man in end stage renal disease, diabetes and vascular disease. He is currently on dialysis.

Peter grew up in Yonkers, NY and attended public school. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 456 and was a truck driver for twenty years until he became insulin dependent. Unfortunately, do to his health he could no longer drive trucks for a living. He has been battling diabetes for many years and has relocated to Florida because the cold New York winters you were too harsh for him and his health. One year after the move he suffered congestive heart failure and endured a five by pass. After the dye was injected to locate where his blockage was, as a result his kidneys failed. He has been a dialysis patient for the past 4 years and has been recently medically cleared to be put on the transplant list.

Transplants are lifesaving but financially draining. Even with insurance there are many expenses that must be covered out of pocket. Some of these are co-pays, deductibles, lab fee, transportation to and from the transplant center and relocation expenses at the time of transplant. In addition, Peter will be on a life-time of expensive anti-rejection medications. This is where your support is desperately needed.
