Hi! My name is Wilma Joyce Mobley. I am a 65-year-old resident of Oklahoma City, OK; wife; mother of 4 children and grandmother of 21 between my husband and me. I was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease and need a lifesaving kidney transplant to survive.
I was born in a house in Sanger, TX then moved to Ardmore, OK at the age of 2 until I was 6 years old. My parents, seven siblings and I settled in Oklahoma City then and I’ve called it home ever since. After attending Finishing School at Douglas High School, I became a young mother to a beautiful baby boy. At the time, I was living with my parents but envisioned more for myself and my child. I got a job at a weather stripping manufacturing company and worked hard there for 16 years. Since then I have had a couple other jobs at Glamor Shots and most recently Globe Marketing. Today, I am married to a wonderful man and have 4 living children. I suffered the loss of one of my sons to gun violence. Life has not been easy.
Most recently, I was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease. Seemingly out of nowhere, my sciatica acted up so badly, I couldn’t walk. I found myself at Urgent Care undergoing many tests and blood work that would ultimately bring me the news that my kidneys where functioning at only 14 percent! Today, I am completely dependent on dialysis, 3 days a week for several hours at a time. My doctors have explained my only chance to return to good health is a kidney transplant. However, I need your help!
While organ transplants are lifesaving, the cost can be overwhelming. Even with insurance, there will be medical expenses not covered such as co-pays and, even more importantly, the anti-rejection medications I will need to take for the rest of my life. It is a financial challenge more than I can handle alone.
To help with the financial burden of the uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign has been established in my honor with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to help patients and families in need for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law and are held by Help Hope Live in the South-Central Kidney Transplant Fund in honor of Wilma Mobley. Donations are allocated by Help Hope Live based on financial need for medical expenses. Please consider making a donation today.

I have so much to live for and I am working hard to remain as healthy as I can by losing weight and exercising the days I am not at dialysis. It is you who can make the difference. I am asking for help from those of you who can and I thank you in advance for giving.
Sincerely yours,
Wilma Mobley
