Phil Capano is a 63-year-old man in need of a heart transplant. After suffering a massive heart attack almost 16 years ago with only a 20% chance to live, he was able to rally and live the last 15 years at a semi-normal level; however, the function of his heart has recently declined dramatically and his only hope for survival is a heart transplant. This very generous man who loves his family and friends deeply needs our help as the expenses incurred for a heart transplant can be overwhelming.
Phil grew up in Vineland, NJ and graduated from Vineland High School. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoys and has a passion for coaching. He has been coaching girl’s soft-ball for the past 18+ years. The impact he has made on the lives of those he coaches is evident when they run up to hug him and thank him for making a difference in their lives. Phil eagerly looks forward to enjoying as much time as he can with his family as well as returning to coaching. Together, Phil and his family are committed to seeing him through this transplant.
Transplants save lives but financially are draining. Even with insurance, the costs can be astronomical. In addition to the surgery itself, there are post transplant medications up to $1200 per month, travel expenses, co-pays, lab fees and more.
To help with the financial burden of uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign has been established in honor of Phil Capano with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community based fundraising guidance to help patients and families in need for more than 30 years. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law and are held by Help Hope Live the Mid-Atlantic Heart Transplant Fund in honor of Phil Capano. Donations are allocated by Help Hope Live based on financial need for medical expenses. Please consider making a contribution today. For credit card donations, please click the Donate Now button.
Thank you for your support, generosity, prayers, and compassion.
Gratefully,
The Capano Family
