In 1987, two months after Wayne and Tami Iman were married, Wayne was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. Two years later he had a successful bone marrow transplant and life returned to normal. Wayne’s life was turned upside down again in August of 2016 when he was diagnosed with Viral Cardiomyopathy. On Thanksgiving evening, Wayne had a massive heart attack and was life flighted to Pittsburgh, PA. On December 1st, Wayne had an artificial heart implant and there were many requirements and adjustments that had to be made for him to come home. Thankfully Wayne is now home and eagerly awaiting a heart transplant.

Wayne and Tami live in Mercer. Wayne has worked as a long-distance truck driver for George Howe Company for the past 12 years. He also worked in retail management, as a tour bus driver, in construction, and has been an Auctioneer for 30+ years. Wayne is also a Veteran with four years Active Duty and eleven years Active Reserve time. Wayne and Tami are active members of Bethany Presbyterian Church, Mercer. They are also former active Grange members for more than 30 years. Wayne and Tami count their blessings every day for the gift of life God has given them. They thank you for the many faithful prayers, love, support and encouragement. Together they are looking forward to better health, finding the “normal” in life again, and reaching out to help others.
