Thank you for your support!
Hi everyone. It has been awhile since I have updated my site. I am 3 months post surgery now and feeling a lot better. My energy level is still not good but I can go 1/2 a day and not feel to tired. I would like to thank everyone for your donation, it means alot to me & Joyce.
Merry Christmas and may GOD bless you.
The man to my left is Dr Dale Gordon. He is the surgion who transplanted my liver. Super Surgion
I would like to start out by thanking everyone for you prayers and monetary gifts. This has really fasttrack quicker than I thought. GOD has ogher plans. I guess by now everyone knows that I had a liver transplant on Sept 05 of this month (two week and one day) but whos counting. I was. Eing screened 3 weeks prior to this date to see if I was elligible to be put on the list. On Sept 5th at 10:30AM we were called at 10:30AM and were told to be at the hospital ASAP, that they had a liver for me. I told the girl that I was not on the list yet and she said I was put on the list at 7:30AM that morning. Three hours later GOD gave me a liver. I was in the hospital for one week and came home. The doctors say that the first year will be an uphill battle and that the first month will be very critical since my body will want to try and reject the new liver. Most of my meds are paid for at this time but my expenses going back and forth to the hospital (fuel, meals, etc ) are on us. Plus doctor and hospital bills that the insurance does not pay are climbing each day. I am not one to ask for help but this is getting over my head. This fund raiser site is the only one that I would use because it is accountable for all funds and myself and Joyce are not given the money. All funds are paid directly towards hospital and medical bills. As for fuel and meals are concerned we have to show fuel and meal receipts that coincede with hospital visits. Again thank you for your contuined thoughts and prayers. Have a blessed day
Gerald & Joyce
Gerald is out of the hospital and back home after his successful liver transplant!! Thank you for your prayers in that matter. Prayers are still needed as Gerald recovers. He and Joyce will be traveling to Nashville several times a week for continued care. Nashville is about an hour and a half away, so prayers for safe trips are welcome. Also, donations to help with gas, car . maintenance, food, and so much more are really appreciated.
My prayer and love are always with you.
Re-read 5:14,15. John says we can be confident that God will grant our requests when they are according to his will.
