UPDATE: I was lucky enough to have received my kidney transplant at the end of July 2019! I’m beyond thankful for this gift of a new life, however it does come with a lifelong expense. I will forever be on immunosuppressants to help prevent rejecting my new kidneys. The anti-rejection medicines are not fully covered by my insurance. I am asking for help on either sharing my story or donating on behalf of this life or death situation, as these medications are vital to my health. Thank you so much!

I just want to come on here and say thank you to everyone who has shared my story and been kind. It has taken me a lot to share this with anyone other than close family and the amount of support I've received is unreal. Again, thank you everybody. I appreciate it more than you will ever know!

Hey Calista, I know you don't know me but I worked with your mom for a while and I can understand the ridiculousness of pharmaceutical cost. I hope hope hope this helps! You are all kinds of awesome if you are your mothers child! Good luck!
